Federally Qualified Health Center
The Wayne County Community Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center that provides primary healthcare to local residents under the strictest of federal guidelines and standards.
Physicians and other healthcare professionals are on staff to provide cost-efficient, quality managed, exceptional care in an ambulatory setting. The Wayne County Community Health Center is staffed with two full-time and two part-time physicians, a Physician Assistant, as well as a Nurse Practitioner who administer acute and chronic care for adults and routine check-ups and sick care for children.

The Wayne County Community Health Center recognizes that all need medical health and wellness services, including adults. To meet that need, we offer Acute and Chronic Care to all adult patients, as well as walk-in Blood Pressure and Weight checks to ensure that adults can potentially take advantage of a healthy life.
GYNECOLOGY and OBSTETRICAL SERVICES
Our seasoned staff provides caring, professional Gynecology services, including examination and treatment, for all women who are patients of the Wayne County Community Health Center.
FAMILY PLANNING SERVICES
Planning for a family can be an intimidating process, and the Wayne County Community Health Center is available to aid those in this process with a number of services. Included within those services include Physical examinations, patient education, and contraception methods including:
- Contraceptive injections
- Contraceptive Pills
- Contraceptive Patches
- and Condoms
Motherhood can be both precious and frightening at the same time. Our staff approaches potential mothers with the utmost care and respect to determine pregnancy outcomes. Pregnancy testing is offered Monday through Friday with no appointment needed.
Healthy mothers may mean healthier babies. That’s why the Wayne County Community Health Center offers Maternity services which include Prenatal and Postpartum care and education, which strives to offer the mother and her child the best chances available for a healthy life.
Healthy families include healthy children. To help ensure that our community’s children achieve the healthy lifestyle that they need, we offer routine check-ups and sick care for all pediatric patients.
To ensure the health and well-being of our community, the Wayne County Community Health Center leads the way by providing both Childhood and Adult immunizations to those in need, regardless of ability to pay.
SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE PROGRAM
Sexually transmitted diseases affect a number of individuals in the community. The Wayne County Community Health Center provides care and support for those suffering with such illnesses by providing screening and treatment efforts. The STD clinic is available on Thursdays.
Our STD clinic offers HIV testing and counseling, as well as Syphilis and Hepatitis B and C testing.
Although Tuberculosis does not pose the threat that it did many years ago, it remains an active disease in our nation and community. The Wayne County Community Health Center provides routine skin testing for possible Tuberculosis patients, as well as the provision of Tuberculosis medication.
The Tuberculosis clinic is open every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. No Appointment Needed.
ON-SITE LAB SERVICES
To ensure that medical services are offered as soon as possible, the Wayne County Community Health Center houses its very own CLIA Certified lab. Patients in need of lab services for diagnosis and treatment have the benefit of quicker results at our state-of-the-art, Federally Qualified Community Health Center.
